Mace Construct will adopt the name Forco after continuing to trade under its current brand until the new year, the UK contractor has said. The change follows the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two separate businesses in March, under an agreement that Mace Consult would retain the Mace brand.

The contractor described Forco as short, impactful and easy to pronounce. It will introduce the new name alongside a new corporate strategy and productivity targets through 2030.

Mark Reynolds, executive chair, said Mace Construct had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He said the new name represented a clear commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030.

Reynolds added that the company’s culture, values and people had underpinned its success and would remain in place despite the name change. Clients could expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create places and infrastructure that last, he said.

The rebrand marks a distinct identity for the contracting business after the split, while the consulting arm keeps the Mace name. The contractor said the Forco name is intended to support its positioning as a forward-thinking UK contractor, with the strategy set to be presented alongside the 2030 productivity goals.
