Apollo Tyres Ltd’s board approved unaudited consolidated financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, and for the first half of the 2026-27 financial year. Consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter rose 17% to Rs 7,968 crore from Rs 6,831 crore in the same period last fiscal.
The quarterly comparison is with Q2 FY2025-26, and the half-year comparison is with H1 FY2025-26. All figures cited are on a consolidated basis.
For the six months from April to September, revenue from operations was Rs 15,366 crore, up 15% from Rs 13,392 crore a year earlier. Apollo said Indian operations carried their strong revenue growth momentum into the second quarter, reflecting the effectiveness of its growth initiatives. The second-quarter growth rate of 17% was higher than the 15% growth reported for the first half.
Profit and exceptional item
Second-quarter operating profit was Rs 855 crore. Net profit rose 13% to Rs 292 crore from Rs 258 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. The result included an estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crore, disclosed as an exceptional item.
For the first half, operating profit was Rs 1,723 crore and net profit was Rs 641 crore, compared with Rs 271 crore in the same period a year earlier. The half-year result also included the estimated Rs 26 crore pre-tax restructuring cost as an exceptional item.
India growth and cost pressure
Chairman Onkar Kanwar said growth across categories in India had been supported by sustained rural expansion efforts and a strategic association with cricket. He added that new product launches in India’s commercial vehicle segment had strengthened performance during the past quarter.
Kanwar also said geopolitical tensions in West Asia remained a headwind, resulting in elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions. The company’s statement did not quantify the financial impact of those pressures.
CFO appointment
The board also approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as group head, finance, and has held responsibilities across budgeting, accounts and investor relations; more recently, he was given additional responsibility for legal.
Before joining Apollo Tyres, Shingari spent more than 16 years at KPMG, where his last assignment was partner, tax and regulatory. He is a chartered accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree [B.Com(H)] in commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. As CFO, he will report directly to Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director.
